As a Software Engineer, you will be working on a British financial services company, being part of a small, agile and adaptable cross-functional team with the following technologies: Java, Kafka, Kotlin, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, AWS Aurora, and PostgreSQL, just to name a few.


  • Build a resilient, scalable backbone that powers the growth, using Kafka & Kafka Streams.
  • Interact with stakeholders and key business users on a daily basis.
  • Achieve stack consistency and alignment across the board by cooperating with a lean philosophy and flexibility in implementation. 
  • Deploy, in infrastructure, with Docker/Kubernetes as needed via CI (Jenkins) and a completely automated test suite.



  • You've worked on large-scale distributed software systems with proven scalability and complex topologies.
  • As an engineer, you’re interested in the problem, not just the requirements.
  • Developed a sense of responsibility, oriented to customer solutions and associated improvements.
  • Eagerness to learn and share knowledge.
  • Experience of working in an environment where team ownership of quality approaches is taken. 



  • Degree in Informatics Engineering, Computer Science, or in similar areas (Desired)
  • 4+ years of development experience in Java
  • Proven hands-on experience in JVM, Docker & Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience in the whole SDLC
  • A solid commitment to quality is essential, that’s why a strong experience working with TDD, peer programming, peer reviews, and collaboration with QA engineers are a must. 
  • Behavior-driven development (BDD) (Desired)
  • Fluent in English - written and spoken
